Who we are
Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art is a contemporary art gallery and centre for learning exploring Chinese contemporary culture through a diverse range of art and artists. Centrally located in Manchester’s creative Northern Quarter, our gallery is open six days a week. As the only non-profit organisation in Europe to specialise in Chinese contemporary art & visual culture we are uniquely placed to explore the trans-cultural debates that will shape our future.
What we do
Working with partners including schools, community, mental health and well-being groups, we create opportunities for cultural exchange and learning about contemporary culture between East and West whilst also developing creative and transferable life skills. Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art is pleased to offer a range of education and engagement activities for all ages. This includes: gallery tours with self led workshops, contemporary creative workshops at the gallery or in the classroom.
Are you aged 14 to 19 years old, creative and interested in learning more about working in the arts? We'll be running these free sessions every Tuesday, 5pm to 7pm at the gallery with some off site visits. Meet new people, have fun, create art work.
